IHC cybergaming

"For everything that happens, there must be at least a good point, and at least a bad point. nothing is completely good or bad"

And so, i must say, that the cybergaming committee did a pretty good job to string together a competition of such scale in such short notice. With hardly any time left, they managed to just get the competition going, releasing the namelist on sunday, one day before the actual competition itself. kudos to that.

But then again, the good points are limited, while the bad points are plentiful. number one, lack of proper backup equipment, in this case, comps. our game got delayed 30 mins cuz one of the comps screwed up. imagine if odac had flown all the way to australia, rock climbed up half of mount arapiles, when one rope or carabiner screws up. and u hav no backup equipment. ggxx. u can have fun slacking midway on the rocky mountain, since u can't go up, u can't come down, and all u can do is wait for some remote time when another climber passes by and notices u and calls for help. in the meantime, u can hav fun. wooh.

number 2, lack of judges. never has any competition has this lack of judges. usually, organising committees will be more than prepared with a PANEL of judges to attempt to ensure fair ruling with no bias against any side. cybergaming not only didn't hav a panel, they didn't even hav a judge. yes, u heard(or see) correctly. not even a single judge. good job cybergaming club. u all rock. in the end, some weird guy will step in a say any team won without giving a proper reason or whatsoever. wooh.

number 3, no knowledge of game rules by the weird guy who steps in. erm pro lor. the game rules written on the board has towers/base destroyed or kill/death ratio to decide winners if game drags longer than 80 mins. that guy came in, ignored all those, and says the team which wins is the team with an aegis and a divine rapier(the best item in the game for all those who don't know). erps

now, many of u must be wondering why i'm writing such a post. so let me recall what happened. It was an MT vs MR match. I was playing for MR(cuz i'm from MR duh).

MR. GvDnvh omiknight
MR. yijing sand king
MR. noobify† shadow shaman (me)
MR. smasher™ lich
MR. WM queen of pain

MT. Fatty prophet
MT. Max warlord
MT. vh vengeful spirit
MT. (forgot alrdy) venomancer
MT. (forgot also) netherdrake

Before the match started, one comp screwed up, everyone had to wait for like 20-30 mins before the comp got fixed. so now that precious time was lost, some guy(assume he's frm cybergaming) says to carry the game to just 60 mins instead of the original 80 mins as planned. lousy planning, but okay, shldn't affect much. so the game began. and we owned them. not pure total ownage but gd enuff(my rhasta with a 2-0 score by level 5 and a sand king triple kill in the middle of the game). trashed them, and beat them in tower kills and hero kill/death ratios. (the audience can testify to this) And just when we managed to break their base and destroy them totally, 60 mins was up, we had to stop. So as everyone tot MR had won, we all left the game and the audience walked off. and then this weird walks in. he took a damn long time to look at the heroes scores and items ans everything. and then said MT won. y? because they had aeigis and divine rapier. errr... since when were victors decided just by their ability to get rapier? wth? and the most thing is what i just realised today, which totally made me feel wtf. that weird guy was from MT. and knew one of the MT players(harold). gd job lor. so they won lor. impressive judging.

so basically we won on everything except for the connections factor. pro pro. but nvm, unless their connections factor can tide them through the next round, that team will be way way way too weak to match the BW powerhse. didn't watch today, but bet BW won MT. not much thinking needed. and since we felt we were no match for the BW powerhse anyway, we decided not to quarrel just let the matter rest. for we knew we played well. like really great(except for the lich, he damn noob. but at least his spells were impt). Credits goes to wen jun, for playing such a great sand king for the team. he owned them all. triple kill. woot. 2nd best player in the game(3rd is me yay). u held up our team, and won it for us(u just didn't hav connections to that weird guy). u won't be reading this, but i just want to say a big thank you to u. a job well done. as for the qop and omniknight, well played. nice aoe damages and supports. u guys were damn impt. well done, wang miao and yaming. and the lich, u can improve a hell lot more, but anyway, u were impt too, with that chain frost of urs. so gd job anyway, sean.

And now that i've thanked everyone in the team, i'd like to thank xun yong, lu zhou, wing chung, and chee chin, for being there to support whoever u were supporting. haha.

And good luck to lu zhou and mayb xun yong( dunno whether he playing or not) for their cs game on wednesday and thursday! own them all but dun get owned by other ppl's connections to weird ppl!

And anyway, tmr's vday! happy vday to everyone! bet chinny giv trish smthing and rard giv yiting something. haha lol
