chalet! =D

mm! let's see, how did it start? tuesday i came after band so i reached pasir ris and waited for the shuttle bus for awhile la. so unlucky pls i must have come a few minutes after the bus left. met liu peng (or lao p lolz) and er, took the shuttle bus.

1st day

haha, then that night, han chen cooked dinner! beef and um i really can't remember the rest. and his fantastic looking watermelon dessert. didn't eat it; didn't have much of an appetite that night, but the spread looked good. i had no idea han chen could cook haha. i've only come across what... three guys my age who can cook?

anyway, the kitchen was in some mess la i'm sure the countertop so wet...so. the kitchen crew stepped in! haha. so sad la we never really got around to taking pictures. pin, jasper and me together cleaned the kitchen that night, but the people who were really in the kitchen the most were gen, chin ee, han chen, trisH! (heh ondeh-ondeh. dang i shd have made some for chalet tsk tsk missed opportunities), wing chung (he and gen cooked breakfast; which looked pretty good haha) and i can't remember the rest >.<>

then i can't quite remember what else happened but all too soon the night was over =( and i had to go home. that was around 11 oclock. pity. i walked out (was a nice long walk out to downtown east). well, my mum told me that night that the road i was walking along was haunted, or you know, had those pretty women with long hair. dunno if i believe her, but it was creepy. there were banana trees along the way, but i didn't notice till the morning.

2nd day

initially i wanted to come earlyearly in the morning at 6 or so so can watch the sunrise but too bad la too lazy liao (: so came at 730 in the morning or so; just in time to see the GP people off haha. or Pin, at least. had breakfast there (: then people either went out to the beach or something, or went back to sleep, or went to school. so. i fell asleep on the um. armchair. and had some nice nightmares. maaaan.

went out for lunch together (yay! there were 21-25 of us having lunch together! =D nurul came too =D ) and haiya my comp keeps wanting to restartttt. so stupid. it's nice having lunch together; all of us (: i mean, the whole point of chalet it to hang out together right? haha. instead of breaking up into groups to play bridge or some nonsense like that. after lunch, me and nurul went to go cycle! haha got abit of a fiasco concerning nurul's bike, but nvm =P pasir ris park's cycling track is really boring la. either that or it was the resistance in my bike making it so tiring to cycle.

came back, barbecued! haha eh is it barbequed or barbecued ah. got difference not? haha the bbq was really good la, the tables looked so pro! =D i mean with the salad and plates and all (: i got a taste of how to start the fire lol. or more like, i watched. usually i just fan. thanks han chen for telling me how to test the meat, pin for helping me fan, zhang yin for helping me turn one batch of satay, chin ee for keeping the fire, gen for teaching me how to skewer the chicken lol, pin for moral support! =D and others for bringing the satay around...

mr lai came! omg his daughters are so damn cute =D =D =D esp tabitha! and mrs lai is so super chio! =D haha and tabitha kept running to mr lai and hugging him omg so cute plsss ^^ haha then he strummed for us some song (unfortunately i have no idea what it is!) and mrs lai kept the beat by patting the youngest one on the back LOL. Mr lai made his farewell speech. and then mr raufie appeared at the back of the crowd! haha (:

then he also gave his speech and unfortunately, he's not gnna be with us next yr. if we all knew sooner =( sigh eh his new j1s better treat him well lor. rmbr to bug him about his good news next yr! =D heh. good thing he didn't ask about why there were weird cuttings on the fishballs we served him -_-'' so maluating ah. we stayed until about 11 talking to him and all. can't help it la; magnetic personality. =) so magnetic until kena scolded by my mum. thanks to jameson's parents to sent me to a nearby busstop! (:

special mention goes to gen for being so considerate and taking measures to make sure at least some food was halal. really. i really appreciate the concern (: (: (: and congrats qingling for topping our class again ^^ hehe.

haha i think the chalet brought us much closer to one another, no? just like watching the twister games and singing together and preparing food together and sitting at the same table and all...there's some feeling of solidarity, and real comradeship. maybe we might not all know one another like brothers and sisters/close friends, but at least we know we're all in it together, at least until end of next year. who knows? until you get married and send out wedding invites to everyone (: so thanks everyone, thanks 6N, for making this year extraordinary, and for making everyone feel like there's somewhere in RJ we can all belong (:
