IHC chess

yay i'm happy. 4th for IHC chinese chess, out of 19 teams, best MR team, taking a total of 9 out of a possible 15 points. lost 1-2 BB3(buckle-buckley team 3), won 2-1 HH2, lost 1-2 BB1, won 2-1 BW4, won 3-0 MT3. also won all my matches in IHC international chess.

Anyway, BB is scary. really scary. they had like a damn ownage team lah. BB1, all chinese scholars. Completely whooped my ass. that guy had me on the back peddle for the whole match. Within 2 minutes, i knew there was no way i could even attempt a draw, not even a remote chance. was left defending like shit and it was one-way traffic all the way. wah scary.

but ben low is pro, after me and kevin got whooped completely by BB1, he won his match to give us at least a point for the match, which was eventually crucial in us claiming 4th place. gd job, ben low and kevin.

So here are the final results. This is the overall score, i can't rmb the individual scores of the 4 chess competitions. I only know MR's scores, 8 for i-chess, 12 for gomuku, 12 for wei-qi, 12 for c-chess. For overall,
BB 70 - 6 points in house championships
BW 62 - 4
MR 44 - 3
HH 40 - 2
MT 40 - 2

So yup, yay i'm happy, despite the large gap btw 2nd and 3rd, it all just translates to 1 point anyway. wooh.

And congrats to Chess Club for a competition well-organised. Seriously, cuz there are very few IHC competitions that have such clear rules and this well-organised. Take IHC pictionary and cybergaming for example. a complete mess. so well done, chess club.
