Xu Yi-ang – High Councilor of the Empire and Commander of the Empire Guards, it is whispered that Xu Yi-ang is the real power behind the Dragon Throne. Officially, he speaks for the Empress, a young, sickly girl who is never seen except for those in the highest echelons of the Empire. Cunning, pragmatic, and capable, he manages the Empire with ease, ignoring Lao P and his activities on the principle that “river water never touches well water”. Sharp and incisive, he is quick to eliminate threats to the peace of the Empire, and is the one who sent Weaponmaster Zhan Ying to investigate rumours of monstrous creatures on the borders. Dressed in his trademark administrative blazer, white pants, and black shoes, he is a formidable sight indeed.
