Lao P – Lao P is the undisputed big boss of the Mafia of the Empire. He is the one who holds real power within the Empire, with his extensive network of spies and numerous enforcers. His activities, including but in no way limited to smuggling and sale of forbidden goods, gambling, extortion and prostitution, are tolerated but officially ignored by the Empire Guards (but some say the Empire Guards are too powerless to stop him), seeing that they contribute to an integral part of the Empire’s economy, and help keep much of the populace employed. Rumors abound that though his business is officially inexistent (entitling him to a poor payment scheme and a steady income of $30 a month), some of the Empire Guards are actually key buyers in his industry. Said to be one of the best fighters in the realm, Lao P keeps his skills sharp by continually competing against champions in the Arena. His fighting skills are said to have been honed to the sharpest edge by one year training with the Nameless Master on the summit of Mt Arkir and ten years of surviving solo on the streets of the Empire, the latter which has earned him the respect of the citizens, and the title of ‘King of Fighters’.
